Yoruba Nollywood actor Bello Oladipupo Ibrahim, popularly known as Omoba Sanjay, has dismissed widespread perceptions that Kola Ajeyemi, the husband of actress Toyin Abraham, is proud.

He described the veteran actor as a reserved individual who simply maintains his unique personality without any airs of arrogance.

Speaking in an interview on Oyinmomo TV, Sanjay recounted how he was invited back for a movie role and encountered Ajeyemi on set.

He greeted the senior colleague, who responded warmly despite his quiet demeanor.

Sanjay explained that Ajeyemi’s manner of walking and carrying himself often leads to misconceptions, but those who know him understand it reflects his authentic self rather than pride.

The actor emphasized that Ajeyemi is far from aloof, noting their personal connection where he views the filmmaker not only as a friend but also as a mentor who has guided him in the industry.

Sanjay highlighted how such quiet confidence is sometimes mistaken for haughtiness in the vibrant Yoruba movie circle, where outgoing personalities dominate public interactions.

His words: “I was asked to come for a movie role. The day I went there, I met Kola Ajeyemi who is Toyin Abraham’s husband. He doesn’t talk much so I greeted him and he responded. Most people thinks he is proud but he isn’t. The way he walks and talks is just him being himself. He is not proud. Although he is my friend, but I can also call him my mentor.”
