Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has dropped a bombshell revelation about his relationship with colleague Funke Akindele.

In a video making rounds online, the Yoruba actor revealed that Funke stopped talking to him the day he told her that he had completed his house. The Yoruba actor and producer noted that he had never offended her and had been a longtime friend.

Fabiyi said the industry is terrible, and those who people think are good aren’t.

“Our industry is very terrible. Those whom you think are good people aren’t. Funke Akindele was my friend from way back. The day I told her that I had completed my house was the last day she ever talked to me, and I didn’t offend her”.

A year back, Yomi took shots at Funke and Iyabo Ojo, stating that neither Iyabo nor Funke Akindele had travelled out before him. The controversial actor noted that people told him to sue Iyabo, but he decided not to, adding that only God can recover all Baba Ijesha has lost.

In 2024, the controversial actor had completed his house, which he dedicated to his mother. He used himself as proof that male actors also achieve success in the industry, and not just the females.

Later that year, he threw a housewarming party in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The housewarming party had in attendance Kemi Afolabi, Ijebu, Mama Rainbow, KS1 Malaika, Toyosi Adesanya, Peju Ajiboye, Remi Sururu, Yinka Quadri, Taiwo Hassan and others.

One of the event’s highlights was when the actor was presented with a cash gift of N10 million from a real estate company.

In 2023, Fabiyi shared a deep message as he was honored with a street named after him, Yomi Fabiyi Street. The movie star and filmmaker stated that when one is doing good and people are brainwashed to curse and hate one, it will all turn to prayers and blessings.

In other news, Yomi had cried out over his unjust sufferings, as he noted how many tried to pull him down and blackmailed him, especially those he helped up the ladder. He noted how his fans and followers can bear witness to what life has thrown his way in recent times for being nice and standing by what is right.
