EFCC gives condition to release Very Dark Man

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the arrest of popular activist Martins Vincent Otse, known widely as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

The anti-graft agency said the internet sensation was arrested following multiple petitions filed against him.

EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale explained on Monday that the activist was arrested to respond to various allegations raised by complainants.

He added that VDM would be released once he meets the set bail conditions and that the commission plans to charge the matter to court soon.

“We arrested him to respond to a series of allegations raised by some petitioners,”

He clarified that the petitions came from various people and were not limited to any one case, including matters related to GT Bank.

Meanwhile,

 youths have taken to the streets 

in Abuja and GTbank’s head office, demanding the activist’s release.
