When he was told during the interview that the 2027 general election is going to be Northern region versus Southern region, considering the gale of defection of governors from the region, Okorie stated that the 2027 election would likely take the shape of a North-South divide.

He dismissed other aspirants from the South as inconsequential. In the North, he said whatever influence Rabiu Kwankwaso had was largely confined to Kano, while the northern political class appeared to be rallying around Atiku Abubakar.

He remarked that anyone who failed to see this was simply not paying attention. According to him, within the ADC, any presidential aspirant outside of Atiku who is not from the North would ultimately fail to secure the party’s ticket, even though a free and fair primary might be held—because Atiku would still emerge the winner.

He also claimed that Peter Obi, cannot stand a chance to win the presidential ticket of the ADC.
