Veteran actor Dr. Afeez Oyetoro has openly embraced his family background, detailing his roots in a large polygamous household while humorously shutting down Isbae U’s attempt to mock his status as an orphan.​

Dr. Afeez Oyetoro explained that his late father was a polygamist who married four wives, and he was born to one of them. With his parents and three of his father’s wives now deceased, he acknowledged that he is technically an orphan, but stated he wears the title with pride.​

When Isbae U tried to equate their statuses by saying they were both orphans “on the same level,” Kosoko sharply disagreed, reminding the host that he has achieved massive career milestones and built a lasting legacy that sets them miles apart.​

Dr. Afeez Oyetoro said: “I am from a polygamous family. My father had four wives. Three of them dead, one of them alive now. My mommy is dead, my dad is dead. Yes, I am an orphan.
