David Obiorah, one of the six Nigerian Law School students that was recently released after they were abducted with others along the Zakibiam-Mukari Motorway, revealed while narrating his ordeal that it was the wives of the kidnappers that were cooking for them and also fetching muddy water for them to drink. He said it was the same food they ate that the kidnappers also ate.

David Obiorah recounted a harrowing experience while in captivity with the kidnappers, describing a disturbing scene where young children, aged two to three, were playing with guns in front of him and others. The bandits casually handled firearms, cocking their rifles without concern, seemingly normalising the behaviour for the children. The captives were even brought out into the open, exposing them to the kids, further highlighting the disturbing environment.
