Super Falcons unmoved in FIFA ranking despite WAFCON 2024 win

The Super Falcons of Nigeria were unmoved in tbe lastest women’s ranking released by FIFA on Thursday morning, Prompt News reports.

This is despite the team’s superlative showing at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Justine Madugu’s side defeated the hosts 3-2 in a pulsating final at the Olympic Stadium, Rabat.

It was the 10th time they will be winning the title underlining their status as the best team on the continent.

The Super Falcons however kept their position as the highest ranked team in Africa.

Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Atlas Lionesses of Morocco, Copper Queens of Zambia, and Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon complete the top five teams on the continent.

Spain reclaimed top position in the ranking after finishing second at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.

The next FIFA Women’s World ranking will be released on December, 11 2025.
