The university alleges that the student physically assaulted a lecturer during the exam session.

The suspension follows the circulation of a video clip online, which reportedly captured a heated confrontation inside an examination room.

The clip quickly went viral, sparking intense debate among students and the public, with mixed reactions over discipline, examination integrity, and student conduct.

While unverified reports indicate that the student was allegedly caught cheating moments before the confrontation, the official university communication emphasizes the alleged assault as the basis for the disciplinary action.

The letter instructs the student to vacate the university premises immediately and await further directions, warning that failure to comply would result in automatic expulsion.

The suspension takes effect immediately and remains in force pending further action.

University authorities are yet to comment publicly on whether the student will be subjected to a formal disciplinary hearing or if the matter could escalate to criminal proceedings.

The incident has reignited discussions on campus safety, examination ethics, and the growing influence of social media in shaping public opinion before institutional processes are concluded.
